About Morocco

Morocco’s busiest arrival points are Casablanca Mohammed V and Marrakesh Menara, close to the city; Agadir, Fez and Tangier also have airports serving the Atlantic coast and the north. A Marrakesh Airport transfer is the easiest way to reach a riad, since cars cannot enter much of the medina, and a Casablanca Airport transfer takes you from the airport, well outside the city, straight to your hotel. With Tranigo you compare vehicles and local providers for your private transfer and pay the price you see when you book.

In Marrakesh, the evening bustle of Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the souks and the Majorelle Garden fill the first days, while the High Atlas villages, the Ourika Valley and the coastal town of Essaouira are classic day trips. Casablanca’s Hassan II Mosque on the ocean is one of the few mosques in Morocco open to non-Muslim visitors, and further afield lie the medina of Fez and the blue town of Chefchaouen.

Morocco’s medinas are mazes of narrow alleys. In the old city of Fez, the souks of Marrakesh or places such as the Bahia Palace and the Ben Youssef Madrasa, a local guide leads the way, explains the history and the crafts and lets you explore at ease. Use the Guides tab in the search above to look for a private guide, or write to us on WhatsApp.
