About Argentina

Buenos Aires has two airports. Most international flights land at Ezeiza (Ministro Pistarini International), some distance south-west of the city, while Aeroparque Jorge Newbery sits on the riverfront next to Palermo and handles domestic and regional flights. An Ezeiza Airport transfer takes you directly to your hotel in Recoleta, Palermo or San Telmo, and an Aeroparque Airport transfer is handy when you fly on to Patagonia, Mendoza or Iguazú. With a pre-booked transfer on Tranigo, you compare vehicles and local providers and pay the price you see when you book.

The capital itself fills several days: the colourful houses of La Boca, the Sunday market in San Telmo, Recoleta Cemetery, the Teatro Colón and an evening of tango. Popular day trips include a boat ride through the Tigre Delta, a visit to an estancia in the pampas around San Antonio de Areco, and the ferry across the Río de la Plata to Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay.

Buenos Aires rewards visitors who know its stories. A private guide explains who rests in the grand tombs of Recoleta Cemetery, how tango grew up in the old port districts and what happened around the Plaza de Mayo and the Casa Rosada over two centuries. Use the Guides tab in the search above to look for a private guide, or write to us on WhatsApp.
