O.R Tambo International Airport is situated 23 km northwest of the city centre and 46 km south of Pretoria city centre. O.R Tambo International Airport, also known as Johannesburg Airport, serves passengers to and from Africa at Kempton Park in Gauteng. The airport is Africa's busiest and largest airport. The International Terminal A has three levels: ground level, level 1 and the mezzanine level.
The ground level of Terminal A, level 0, is for International Arrivals. Level 1 of Terminal A is for International Departures with four gates to the south. Mezzanine Level is for International Departures and Arrivals.
The Domestic Terminal B
Domestic Terminal B (with boarding gates C, D and E) has four levels: Level 0 serves Domestic Arrival flights. Level 1 is the Retail level for both Domestic and International Departures. Level 2 provides Domestic check-in and Domestic Departure services. Level 3 is for South African Airways related services.
